Known in Italy and around the world for its unique location atop one enormous outcrop, Asolo is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Collection within the ancient walls that branch off from the fortress, fortress of the 12th century, preserves its history. It is required to be a rest stop at the Castle of Queen Caterina Cornaro, former Queen of Cyprus exiled to Asolo in the 16th century.
For the emotions that this small hill town gives rise in its visitors, Asolo was visited by poets and writers, artists and travellers. These include the English poet Robert Browning, the divine Eleonora Dusethe English traveller and writer Freya Stark.
Every second Sunday of the month takes place through the streets of the historic center the antiques market.
